In Memoriam Lefteris Eliades 1944-2026
The family of the Pancyprian Association in America and Cyprus mourns the passing of our friend and dedicated supporter, Lefteris Eliades.
A successful businessman in Famagusta Cyprus who, overnight in July 1974 became a refugee, arrived in New York with his beautiful wife Thekla, and adorable daughter Margarita and proceeded to build a new life in America.
Like many other Greek Cypriot refugees, Lefteris embraced the American life but never forgot his roots and obligation to continue to fight for Cyprus. A humble man who served as an officer in the Cyprus National Guard, he dedicated his time to the Pancyprian Association and became the General Manager of our championship soccer team.
Our Association will forever be grateful for his unparalleled commitment, dedication and valuable contributions.
Our deepest condolences to his wife, Thekla, his two children Margarita and Michael and his grandchildren. Lefteris will be remembered for his humility but also his love for Cyprus.
May his memory be eternal!
